These are the female version of betta fish, females are not aggressive and can be kept with other female bettas, or put in a community tank with other peaceful fish!
Betta Fish, also referred to as the Siamese Fighting fish. These beautiful fish, specifically the males, should not be kept with other male betta fish, or else they could quite literally fight to the death. There has been cases where people keep male betta fish in a community, while that is a possibility, each fish is different in personality by nature, and what works for you, may not work for others. Please keep in mind!
There are hundreds of varieties of bettas with different colors, shapes, patterns, and fins!
These male betta fish are only kept in a small jar/holding tank separately from other bettas to avoid fighting, it is recommended to at least house betta fishes in 5 gallons minimum. While they can live in small tanks, they will not get the opportunity to thrive compared to having larger aquarium home.
It’s a great idea to also give your betta a good mixture of diet between live/frozen food and dry pellets. Their colors will really show and pop if you feed them right.
