Chinese Algae Eaters are great bottom dwellers for any medium-large aquarias. Small sharp gravel may hurt these fish, it is recommended to use non sharp gravel or sand substrate. Despite their name, these fish are most commonly found outside of China. They are native to the Chao Phraya basin and can be found living in rivers throughout Laos, Vietnam, and Thailand.
