Found native to the waters of Western Africa, but commercial sold will usually be tank-raised and bred due to how easy they are to breed. All you need is some caves or a hiding spot the breeding pair can claim as their territory, the parents will also look after their young frys.
These cichlids are really peaceful, and will do best in groups.

These fish require a mixed diet of meat and veg, you can feed them frozen or live cultured food from time to time, and they will accept most dry foods.
