Pictures of fish and fish in store may vary, these are just examples/fully grown fish
One of the most popular, freshwater puffers in the freshwater trade, are the Pea Puffers. Popular and high demand due to their miniature average size of 1 inch. These puffers are one of the only true freshwater puffers found commercially, out of roughly 150 Puffers, about 30 are true freshwater puffers, and only a handful of those are commonly seen commercially in the freshwater industry
Pea Puffers have extremely far, great vision, and can see you from a far away. Be sure to approach slowly or you may scare them !
They also require a more specific diet, these guys ONLY eat live food, or shell-food like pest snails that will fit their mouths. Dry food like flakes and pellets will NOT work, frozen food is okay, some pea puffers may reject.
These Pea Puffers are aggressive little fish, we highly recommend you keep them alone in small tanks or with their own kind. Every fish is different in personality, it is possible to keep pea puffers in a community with other fish, but again, every fish is different and what works for you may not work for others. Be sure to do your research
