In the waters of Malay Peninsula, you’ll find these Tiger Barbs in lakes, swamps and small river streams. These fish prefer planted aquariums, that mimic slow moving waters similar to their habitat.
Tiger barbs prefer a variety of diet to maintain their beautiful color. These fish are omnivore so they will also feed on algae and you can also boil zucchinis or cucumbers as well. Tiger barbs also eat a lot, and they eat extremely fast, so it is recommended to feed them more than your other fish, and space them apart to 2 times a day.
If you want tank mates for tiger barbs, it is best to add tiger barbs after your other fish, so your tiger barbs don’t feel intrusive by outsider fish entering their territory.
