Shrimps, often referred as Neocaridina shrimps in the freshwater hobby, are the most popular invertebrates you could possibly find. There are many different colors when it comes to Neocaridina shrimps, you can find almost any color and they come in varieties of shades as well. The bolder, more consistent colored looking shrimps will tend to be more expensive than the lighter and inconsistent colored ones.
Shrimps are usually determined in grades, ranging from transparent/clear to opaque/bold. Some shrimps also have patterns or lines/markings on them.
These guys are great at fighting off unwanted algae for you, and can fit in almost any sized aquariums from nano tanks, to large tanks. They are extremely easy to breed as well so you can end up with quite a bit of shrimps over time!
