- pH: Keep the pH level in the range of 6.0-7.5.
- Hardness: Adaptable to different water hardness levels.
Substrate and Attachment:
- Egeria Najas can be planted in the substrate or left floating. It readily forms dense, bushy clusters, providing cover for fry and small fish.
- If planted, ensure that the roots are buried in the substrate.
Fertilization:
- Egeria Najas is not a heavy feeder and can absorb nutrients from the water column. Supplement with a balanced liquid fertilizer if needed.
CO2 Injection:
- While Egeria Najas can grow without additional CO2, supplementing with CO2 can enhance growth and overall health.

Differences compared to the Ontario Restricted Egeria Densa:
- Egeria Najas has finer and more delicate leaves compared to the broader leaves of Egeria Densa.
- Egeria Najas tends to have a lighter green coloration, while Egeria Densa can exhibit a darker green.
- Egeria Najas is generally more suitable for smaller aquariums due to its finer growth, while Egeria Densa can grow larger and may be more suitable for larger tanks.
