Guppies, one could say these fish are THE most popular and widely distributed and known in the whole world. There are over 200 varieties of guppies, ranging from all sorts of colors, and shapes. These fish are native to South America, are live bearers, and they like to be kept in groups.

These fish are extremely easy to care for, and they have lots of personality to them. If you get them in groups, you will see them interact with each other.

They are super peaceful and not aggressive to any other fishes at all. However, they may nip at fishes with longer fins, mistakening them for food. Another reason is if you have too many males to females, the rule of thumb should be 2-3 females per male.

Generally, if you want to breed, guppy males and females are either sold separately, or in other cases be sold in pairs and could be more expensive for rare/exotic guppies. We will always try to bring in both Male and Female version of the guppies, but in many cases our wholesalers don’t offer the female guppies.
