These are brilliant schooling fish with vibrant red coloration. They are native to the Sri Lankan waters, but now you can find them in Mexico and Columbia and prefer to be in shaded planted areas. The males can get aggressive towards each other, but they should be peaceful with other similar fish, like tetras.
